My six days and five nights in Denver is over, and it was a terrific trip, full of laughter and tears and prayer and learning and so much more. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. There is nothing like being with brothers and sisters in Christ. And when they are writers who understand my peculiarities (like the fictional characters who people my imaginary world), that just makes them all the more wonderful and close to my heart.
On Sunday night, after dining together, six of us decided to take in a movie and went to see The Proposal. Oh my. I laughed so hard. Very, very good.
I had breakfast with my editor Tuesday morning and ran the idea I have for my next book series by her. She liked it, so now I'll have some direction for those books as time to write them draws closer. And it will be here before I know it. Time goes by so fast!
Here are a few photos to share (click for larger version). If you'd like to see even more, be sure to visit my Facebook photo albums. If you aren't my Facebook friend, you would sure be welcome to become one. (Follow the link in the right sidebar.)
Angela Hunt laughing & Lori Copeland being silly. (If Lori can't have you laughing in a few minutes, you simply have no sense of humor.)
A bunch of my Christian writer buddies at our annual retreat. They're all tagged and identified in my Facebook album.

Singing our theme song, I Need You to Survive, (from the movie, The Gospel). We do need one another to survive, and our time of singing and holding hands was so precious.
And here I am at the Christy Awards with my terrific editor, Sue Brower. She was the MC for the event.
Yes, there is no place like home. But I have two frantic days to catch up, attend a local women's event, see my mom at the care center, shop, and pack for another quick trip (DC for the RITA Awards; The Perfect Life is a finalist for Best Inspirational). My house/dog sitter left most of her stuff here since she'll be back so soon. What I'd really rather do is fall asleep on the sofa and stay there for about four days!
