Friends, I am still laid up with my back. I am just not able to spend more than a few minutes sitting up with the computer. Thus, for a second week in a row, I'm foregoing a detailed recap of American Idol. Sorry.
But I watched the show (music from the movies) and will give my favorites.
Who will go home? I think Jacob, Paul, and Haley could be in danger. Stefano may escape another week in the bottom three.

Robin - get better soon! I've had times where my back has been out and I totally get the pain! I'm a missionary in a South-East Asian country and the show is aired here the day after it airs there. I watch with my four children (ages 2-10) and my husband (who could be the 5th judge - he HEARS stuff I don't, and he's always right!). I check your website twice a week - just for your analysis! Sometimes we don't take the time to watch the results show (esp. if the performers are not a favorite) and just let the kids see the results here on the blog. AI sure has a lot of teaching moments, and we enjoy discussing everything from the song choice to the attitudes of the contestants and their choice of attire. Thanks for your analysis these past few years - it's a part of MY personal AI experience each week! Looking forward to your full recovery and return to the blog! God bless!

So sorry to hear your back is still hurting. Praying for a quick recovery. I was a little surprised to see you name James as a favorite, what with the heavy metal and screaming and all. It was fun, though. My favorite part was all the contestants that told Jimmy Iovine to stick it. Plus, I'm really annoyed that Will-i-am has become a permanent fixture on the show. He has nothing worthwhile to say. Pft.

Thanks, Josie. Always good to know that readers enjoy the recap. I sure hope I'm back by next week. This is getting old. <g>

Thanks, Jeff. Yes, I'm a little surprised that James was a favorite too. It had more to do with letting go of my personal music taste and just watching the performance as if I were a heavy metal fan. Or maybe I was loopy from the pain killer. <g>

I haven't been by your blog in quite awhile because I've just been minimzing computer time a bit. But I was thinking of you recently, as I was telling someone that one of my all-time favorite novels is The Victory Club. (LOVE LOVE LOVE that one!!) Anyhow, I thought I would pop by for a visit. So sorry to hear that you are laid up with back issues. I had back surgery back in 1995, so I can relate to how you are feeling.
Anyhow, your bottom 3 are the same ones I think will be there too. I'm hoping Haley is the one to go. Don't like her at all...never have. Her clothing nearly every week is so trampish. Last night's dress was beyond short...it barely covered her.
For me, Scotty and Stefano were the best last night. I am a huge George Strait fan, and I was very impressed with Scotty's rendition of "I Cross My Heart." Also, while I don't like heavy metal, I DO think James gave a great performance.
Love and prayers,
Patti

Patti, I'm glad you liked Scotty's cover of George Strait's song. I thought it was very good too but one review I read really trashed him on it. It wasn't my favorite Scotty performance but it was a solid B+. As for Haley's skirt, there was one close up camera shot, coming from below her, that scared me. I mean really. They should have been more careful.
