Idol 11: not the 12 after all

I won't be blogging Idol tonight. I'm still packing for my trip to Texas. Won't be blogging results night either. I'm on vacation!!!!

But I had to share, in case you haven't heard, the news that Jermaine Jones has been disqualified from the competition for concealing arrests from the show's producers, TMZ reports. Not sure what that will mean for the eliminations this week. After all, they have a certain number of shows to do.

I won't be blogging Idol this year. I don't have time because we're working out every night, and not getting home in time to even watch it on the right night. I'm a little bothered by this whole Jermain thing, because I have to wonder why they didn't already know about this. What, they don't do background checks on these people before they put them in the live shows? I find that hard to believe. Ah, well...Jessica Sanchez is going to run away with it this year, anyway. It's time for a girl winner...WAY past time, in fact! I look forward to reading your recaps again.

Will miss reading your blog posts, but totally understand the reasons.

I think Jessica could very well win, and I agree that it is time for another female AI winner. She's amazing, both voice and stage presence. Lots of talent this year, so I am not sure it will be a foregone conclusion. I thought Joshua and Hollie were the best of this week's performances.
